We are searching for a dynamic, team-oriented individual with solid development skills to join a team providing application development support for a Predictive Analytics Platform. Successful candidate will provide expertise in the areas of software development and architect solutions for engineering applications within the shipping, offshore, data analytics, and defense markets. The team produces a big data experience for companies and provides ample opportunity for personal and professional growth/development.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Participate in the full software development life cycle including designing, developing, documenting and testing
2. Possess strong written and verbal communication skills and proficiently read, write and understand English language
3. Ability to deliver quality deliverables in accordance with corporate best practices within expected timeframes
4. Ability to be self-directed and work with minimal supervision
5. Ability to work in a challenging and fast-paced multidisciplinary environment which includes software engineers, mechanical engineers and quality assurance teams.
6. Ability to rapidly create innovative prototypes and demonstrations in support of business R & D efforts
7. Ability to quickly learn new software development frameworks and APIs on your own time as well as minimal on the job training
