The schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:30a-5p, no weekends and no call. The physician will see adult patients, and perform evaluations, consults, and medication management. The site utilizes EMRs. After completing medical school, a psychiatrist must also complete a one year internship and three additional years of specialized training as a psychiatric resident. In the treatment of mental illness, a psychiatrist is licensed to prescribe medication. Some conditions requiring medication include; depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and ADHD.
