Northrop Grumman is seeking a Navy Ship ASW Trainer to join our team of professionals. This position is located in Norfolk, VA. Individual will serve as a Basic Phase shipboard ASW operations trainer supporting the Afloat Training Group (ATG). The primary responsibilities include: 1. Conduct both classroom and hands-on training for technicians and tacticians from surface combatants in the operation and maintenance of the AN/SQQ-89 (V)15 and A(V)15 sonar systems and associated subsystems. 2. Develop, test, maintain, and deliver moderately complex training programs and related materials in support of customer training objectives. 3. Establish and review course content and objectives. 4. Conduct training sessions and develop criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities. 5. Maintain records of training activities, participant progress, and program effectiveness. 6. Update course documentation on a regular basis to ensure timeliness and relevance. 7. May provide work leadership for lower level employees, including evaluating the effectiveness of their training presentations and programs. 8. Conduct research into new training, educational, and multimedia technologies. 9. Maintain current knowledge of Navy Curriculum Development. 10. Provide Instructor training on the AN/SQQ-89 (V)15 and A(V)15 sonar systems. 11. Provide assistance to government representative with determining applicability of current Sonar Principles, environmental analysis and exploitation to include Tactical Oceanography.
